A Message from our Founder
"Our work-readiness programme was founded on a desire to pay-it-forward by actively strengthening the capabilities of the workforce and SMMEs in our community. We believe that together, the talented individuals and SMMEs in KZN, by paying-it-forward to each other, can take positive control of our future.
With support form DUT, SETA and AIDC, we are helping engineering graduates accelerate their careers by providing them with work experience and on-the-job training. Our interns, so far, have arrived smart and energetic. So our focus has been on rounding off their technical abilities with exposure to real-world problem solving and entrepreneurship.
Our aim is to bring our engineering talent closer to adding tangible value to the evolving manufacturing ecosystem in KZN. Our earn-and-learn work-readiness programme had already successfully contributed many engineers to the workforce. There is now a need to scale that effort and ensure it's sustainability.
Each successful year of experience we deliver, takes us a step closer to our dream of well functioning KZN community - embracing the diversity in our race, gender, and history."

"I am proud that, as I embarked on my new journey, I got my first introduction to the world of work (and the fast-moving field of design) at Purple Rain.
The hands-on experience I received as an intern was paramount to my understanding of the product design, development and manufacturing processes.
Purplerain entrusted me with many design projects - teaching me skills in responsibility, accountability, and management.
My interaction with senior engineers during the design process of a project helped me understand the technical problems, and developed my problem solving skills.
Thank you Purple Rain for introducing me to my dream."
